It's May! How did that happen?! We were busy this week working on some top secret Mother's Day projects, but I managed to snap a few photos of the kiddos and their work. Enjoy!
Check Friday Folders for these sweet May calendars - we used up the final scraps of our painted paper from last month!

Reader's Notebooks

These little notebooks are a goldmine of sweet 5 and 6 year old work. Throughout the year we've been adding songs and poems we have learned to our notebooks each week. I can't wait for the students to show them off to you at our Writer's Celebration on May 25th!

This week we found the sight words we know in the song, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and then we designed our own jerseys!

Speaking of our Writing Celebration, here is a little sneak peak of some "How-To" books the students have been publishing this week! We have some serious experts in Room 4!

Responding to reading

This is an important skill we practice in Kindergarten - making connections to things we read. You can work on this at home with your child by asking them questions about books you read together!

Hungry hungry hippos!

Ask your child about this fun game they learned with Mr. Kaiser in PE this week!

STEAM Lab!

Ask your child to tell you about the robot they invented in STEAM Lab this week!

Avery Bear...

Last, but not least, Avery learned how to spin (and fall down), and has decided that pasta tastes even better when mixed with yogurt! :) Thanks for checking in and see you here next week!
