Family Valentine Workshop!
We read books with our families and friends, made special valentines, and shared them with the class. We also had a special Valentine Photo Booth!

Random Acts of Kindness :)
We talked about randomly doing kind things for other people. Each student chose a Reed staff member and made them a special valentine. We attached two Hershey's kisses (from our 100th day) to each card. The students had been dreaming of eating those Hershey's kisses for over a week - I was so proud of them for being excited to share them with their teachers instead of keeping them all for themselves!

Zane's Act of altruism - Donations welcome!
One of our Room 4 friends is up for a new belt test in his martial arts class! (Woohoo!) As an act of kindness for others, Zane is collecting extra produce from local friends to donate to a great company called Share the Bounty. If you have any extra fruits, vegetables, or herbs from your yard, please deliver it to school and Zane will be sure to get them to a good home! If sending it to school with your child is tricky, please contact Valerie Chu and she will gladly pick it up from you. Thank you!
